- Served in WWII. Had no children. Resided in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada for many years and lived at 3719 Van Horne. Lived in Victoria, British Columbia at 608-1701 Cedar Hill Cross Road. BC Archives, Death Registration #1975-09-611663, microfilm B13344 (GSU microfilm 2050444). John William Baird died July 29, 1975 in Victoria at age 64. Cremated. Buried in Grove of Remembrance, Plot E, Grave 446 in Royal Oak Burial Park, Falaise Drive, Victoria.

BAIRD - John William of 608-1701 Cedar Hill Road, Victoria, B.C., passed away at Victoria General Hospital on Tuesday, July 29, 1975 at the age of 64 years. Born in Lumsden, Sask.; resident of Regina for many years, Mr. Baird is survived by his wife, Josephine; his mother, Mrs. Carrie Baird, Regina; three sisters: Mrs. Mary Bladon, Mrs. Arthur (Fannie) Harvey, both of Regina, Mrs. Archie (Annie) Hagerty of Moose Jaw, one brother, Norman, of Victoria, B.C. Funeral service at McCall's Family Chapel, Friday, August 1 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Father J. Jackson officiating. Flowers gratefully declined.
