  Charles is not found in UK census for 1851. It is assumed (by me) that the family left England prior to 1851. Charles (and Susannah's family) is not found in the 1851 Canadian census. This is probably due to missing records for Scarborough Twp. Although I find several Sanderson families from England with likely dates in Markham Twp., nothing can be confirmed without Scarborough data. Their own family is recorded in the Canadian 1861/71/81 census for Scarborough.
