Dumaresq married 8 January 1926 in Vancouver. Was living in Vancouver in 1973 when her brother John Thomson Johnston died. Government of British Columbia Vital Statistics, Death Registration 1974-09-017526, Microfilm B13338 (GSU#2050342) Florence Jean Dumaresq died 23 November 1974 in Ganges at age 70. In the Vancouver City Directories, Joseph and Florence were living at 1419 W 48th Avenue; in 1970-73 were living at 402, 2890 Point Grey Road. Buried in Gardens of Gethsemani Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 15800 - 32nd Avenue, Surrey, British Columbia in the Cloisters Mausoleum, Section 25, Row 103, Tier 3.

A quiet wedding took place at St. Augustine's Church recently, when Miss Florence Jean JOHNSTONE, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Johnstone, became the wife of Mr. Joseph Paul DUMARESQ. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father O'Neil. Miss Anna Dumaresq,

DUMARESQ - Mrs Florence Jean, of Ganges, Salt Spring Island, passed away at the family home, November 23, 1974. She was the beloved wife of Joseph Paul and mother of David J. Dumaresq; Mrs L.W. (Joan) McIntyre, Mrs J.H. (Ellen) Kennedy; she has 13 grandchildren, also 4 sisters, Mrs Margaret Thomson, Haney; Mrs Grace Holmes, Vancouver; Miss Edna Johnston, Abbotsford and Mrs Wilma Meagher, Ganges, B.C. Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, November 26, in Ganges United Church. Reverend V. McEacheran officiating. Cremation. A Memorial Service will be held at 2 P.M., Thursday, November 28 in the Shaughnessy United Church, Vancouver. Reverend George Searcy officiating. Arrangements by Goodman Funeral Home, Ganges. No flowers please. Donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Fund, 1900 Fort St. Victoria, B.C.
